[Dovecot] pop3 retr error

I see the same thing. The error occurs with dovecot but not with qpopper 
(ouch).

When I last tried to debug this it seemed tbird did RETR on the last DELE 
message, which of course fails. Strangely enough it works with qpopper.
Ill run the same debugrun again and see if I can figure it out.

I thought initially it might have been due to the pop3 hang problem but 
this seems to be a different one.

(tbird also behaves badly when it encounters the error. It simple 
disconnects instead of doing QUIT. So the mails are never expunged and the 
problem occurs over and over again.)
