[Dovecot] Blackberries
Wonder if anyone knows how to tell a blackberry portable phone how not to get pick up a message it already got in IMAP.

Not exactly sure what you mean.
My Blackberry plays fine with IMAP (configure it to point at IMAP and not POP3). The oddities are:
Deleting a message on the IMAP mailbox will not make it vanish from the BBerry
Read flags are mostly two-way, but not always
Not much support for IMAP folders
