Hi,

You might need to limit the concurrent deliveries from postfix.
Check the maxproc parameter in your master.conf, which is 100 by default. You should reduce it to some lower value, I would say between 10 and 40 depending on your system. That would allow your queues to grow without putting too much stress on the deliveries, even when forcing it with postqueue -f.
