[Dovecot] Dovecot is emptying Maildir folders

A wild shot is Thunderbird (if I remember correctly) has an remove read 
messages either after some many minutes or when closing it.  OOPS! 
There it is.  Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Clean up" 
(Expunge") Inbox on Exit
