With v1.0 deliver doesn't do much since it doesn't update cache file.
With v1.1 it does and it's much more useful. But even then if your IMAP
client is going to download the message body immediately anyway it
probably doesn't matter much.

dovecot.index inconsistency checking and updating is really cheap. It's
done all the time anyway with maildir.
