[Dovecot] auth error after upgrading from 0.99 to 1 alpha...

so, i use vpopmail to auth my users,but after upgrading from
dovecot-0.99.14-r1 to dovecot-1.0_alpha5 and tweaking dovecot.conf
i get this in the log :

so no one can login no more via pop3/vpopmail ..

anyone any ideas?
