No, I am unable to reproduce the problem on demand but I have seen 2
mailboxes with this type of corruption.

I am apparently unable to reproduce the message re-reading problem either!
I tried to setup some tracing the next day but everything worked exactly
as it should (of course!).  I suspect it may be an issue with the file
timestamps between the NFS client and the NFS server.
