[Dovecot] probelm with users logging in::solved::

exactly,
I discovered that a couple of users got over written on a bulk load. the users were deleted and added back into the directory. Now MD5 does not work , so I adjusted the user to a PLAIN password and it worked without adjusting dovecot or postfix.
So it's something in the directory about that users password. dovecot is working fine. Once I adjusted the login the user could access the mailbox.
i hate to cross post but i should move this issue to OSX server list.
