[Dovecot] Folders mysterously deleted

I forgot to mention we're using maildir. I logged on to the mail server
and went directly to the user's mail directory and the folders were
really gone. The subscriptions file did not contain the names of the
missing folders so I thought maybe some imap process deleted the folders
and updated the subscriptions file. Under normal circumstances I would
assume the user accidently deleted the folders, even thought they insist
they didn't. In this case the user was a very competent sysadmin who is
helping me test dovecot. So I can't blow it off as a clueless user.
Still poking around...
