[Dovecot] dovecot behaving badly after upgrade..

That error message is coming from vpopmail libraries, and it looks like
it at least thinks it can't connect to MySQL. Looks to me like the
problem is in vpopmail's side. There isn't really anything that can be
configured for vpopmail from Dovecot's side.
